‘Shattered Lives’

Social Issues Documentary (Dur: 1 min)
Synopsis

Street kids, the homeless, families in crisis, food insecurity are only words to those who have not been touched by these challenges. The brief was to cover those social issues, incorporate the ongoing visual theme of the broken mirror and the creative was completely open. The film would run in cinema and on other media. It was clear that just talking the issues was not going to achieve anything. The film would need to bring these issues alive and touch people in a visceral way. This award-wining short documentary written and directed by Mike Miller resulted in the most wildly successful Red Shield fund raising in the history of the Sallies.

‘OOPS’

(Dur: 5 mins)
Synopsis

Jack Ross and a group of counter terrorism CIA agents have been chasing an international terrorist for six months. Without any success. Fearing that the upcoming review of their progress, by the head of the Senate Appropriations Committee, will end their funding and their jobs, they fabricate what looks like a successful surveillance operation. To the agents, the end justifies the means. However, the ‘end’ is not what they had planned on.

‘Conscience’

Corporate Documentary (Dur: 8 mins)
Synopsis

The majority of migrant workers in the construction industry of India are women. Their children accompany them and as a common practice are left to play and fend for themselves in the dirt and danger inherent on these sites. These children, if they survive the often serious and sometimes deadly accidents, have no future.

Or rather, had no future until one man believing this to be wrong, did something about it. He also believed that integrity, accepting responsibility and working to a moral code should apply to every aspect of his business.

And proved it is good business.
